It's A Massacre!

The Bears are your 2006 NFC Champions. If you didn't watch this game I don't know why your reading this post. There is a great blog on making cupcakes down the road, buddy.

The Bears Defense came through big in this game. They successfully punched the Saints square in the mouth. The Defense forced turnovers, and got a key safety. This Defense did exactly what we knew it could do!

Due to the elation I feel over this win I'm going to be brief. There is one event in this game that I feel embodies the spirit of the Bears and Chicago. Reggie Bush caught a pass and ran it 88yds for a touchdown. This may have really swung the momentum of the game in the Saints favor, but Bush made one fatal error. He taunted Brian Urlacher. What did Brian and the Bears do. They quietly stepped up and destroyed the Saints offense and Super Bowl hopes. That's what the Bears and Chicago are all about. So to whatever team the bears play in the Super Bowl, I say one thing SHUT UP AND FIGHT! That is the Chicago way.

Welcome to Miami! What I want to know is did anyone take the over? Um, did the Bears stomp a mud hole in the Saints? Reggie Bush will be vilified for that pointing, high stepping and dive. And that's when the game ended! The defense did what it did all year long -- it took the ball away from the offense!

Odd that we just spanked the Saints by 25 with BAD Rex. Anyway, a happy thought to start the period of Super Bowl build up:
the Bears led the NFL in yards per carry on runs between the guards, the Colts were 32nd defensively against such runs.

If ANYONE took the over, Jimmy, it was because of the Saints. That said, if the defense plays like that in two weeks, Rex CAN be at least this type of bad Rex. No Grossman turnovers WILL equal a Bears' victory.
